During the booked consultation, the Consultant will review the information you provide, answer your questions, explain relevant options and risks, and discuss likely next steps. The Consultant will give competent and honest advice within the limits of her licence and the booked time.

This agreement does not include preparing or reviewing an application, contacting an authority, acting as your representative, extensive research, written advice, follow-up work, or monitoring deadlines. These services require a separate service agreement. The advice reflects the law and policy on the consultation date. The Consultant does not guarantee any result.

  • Give complete, accurate, and truthful information, including negative or adverse facts. Missing or incorrect information affects the advice.
  • Provide requested documents on time, attend on time, and ask questions when something is unclear.
  • Protect your immigration status and track every filing, expiry, and appeal deadline unless a later service agreement assigns a specific deadline to the Consultant.

Pay in Canadian dollars before the appointment. The Firm will issue a receipt. The fee becomes earned when the consultation occurs. Cancel before the notice period for a refund of the unearned fee. After the notice period, the listed fee applies. A late Client receives the remaining time. If the Firm cancels, the Client receives a new appointment or a full refund.

The Firm collects, uses, stores, and discloses the Client’s personal information only to provide the consultation, process payment, conduct conflict checks, communicate with the Client, maintain required records, and meet legal and regulatory obligations. The Firm will keep the information confidential and will not sell or trade personal information. The Firm will disclose personal information only with the Client’s consent or when applicable law or the CICC Code of Professional Conduct permits or requires disclosure. The Consultant, authorized staff, and service providers will receive access only when required for these purposes and must protect the information.

The Firm applies reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, although no electronic transmission or storage system offers complete security. The Client agrees to receive consultation-related emails and online communications. The Client must use the Firm’s secure method when sending passport information, UCI numbers, Social Insurance Numbers, or other sensitive records.

The Client may request access to or correction of personal information or withdraw consent by contacting info@skylaneimmigration.ca. Legal and professional record-retention requirements limit withdrawal and deletion rights. Withdrawing consent might prevent the Firm from providing or continuing the consultation. During a joint consultation, the Firm will share relevant information with all joint Clients, and each Client must accept this agreement separately. The Firm’s Privacy Policy, available on its website, provides further details.

The Firm has the right to refuse or end the consultation because of a conflict, a matter outside the Consultant’s licence or competence, non-payment, missing information, dishonesty, an illegal request, or abusive or unsafe conduct. The Firm will refund any unearned payment.

This agreement ends after the consultation and any follow-up listed in the booking record. The Firm has no ongoing duty to act, update the advice, monitor a deadline, or protect the Client’s status.

The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants licenses consultants and sets professional standards. It does not decide applications. Send service concerns to Rupinder Saggu at info@skylaneimmigration.ca. You also have the right to file a complaint at college-ic.ca. Manitoba and applicable federal laws govern this agreement.
